SKN at Penn 2025
We are happy to announce that two High schools will be representing St. Kitts and Nevis at the 129th running of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA from Thursday April 24 to Saturday April 26, 2025.
The Charles E. Mills Secondary School (CEMSS) from Sandy Point in St Kitts will returning and they will be joined by the Gingerland Secondary School (GSS) from Gingerland in Nevis.
Your assistance is requested to support the Charles E. Mills Secondary School’s (CEMSS) and the Gingerland Secondary School (GSS) during the 2025 Penn Relays Track and Field Relays. The Penn Relays will take place in Philadelphia, PA from April 24 to April 26, 2025. CEMSS is the 8-time consecutive winners of the St Kitts and Nevis InterSchool Championships. CEMSS became the 1st school to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the prestigious Penn Relays Track and Field Relays in 2024.
The SKN contigent from CEMSS and GSS will be in Philadelphia for 7 days and need our help. The two high school contingent is comprised of 23 student athletes and 8 school staff. Participating at the Penn Relays will give the athletes the opportunity to showcase their talent and represent St. Kitts and Nevis on an International platform. GSS is one of the top high schools in the federation. They will visit local universities and be exposed to cultural activities while in Philadelphia.
Your donation will assist CEMSS and GSS student athletes while in the USA with the following:

Ground Transportation
Food/Drinks/Healthy Snacks
Saturday Night Reception and Sunday Brunch.

Kylla Herbert is also the President of the South Jersey Caribbean Cultural and Development Organization (SJCCDO), the 501c3 non-profit organization that is leading the coordination of support for the St Kitts and Nevis' participation at the Penn Relays.
In 2024, the SJCCDO in solidarity with the Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS), the St Kitts and Nevis Tri-State Association and many individuals in the diaspora came together to successfully raise funds for Team SKN at the Penn Relays. Also contributing and extending support for this endeavor was Ambassador to the United States, Jacinth Henry Martin of the St KItts and Nevis Embassy in DC.
